Good News Holdings developed fxl Universe to provide a safe place for youth to share their lives online and be connected with others, as well as be inspired to be more like Christ through exposure to music, art, writing, ministries, and the Word of God.

fxlUniverse primarily serves youth (ages 13 to 19) and youth pastors. However, pastors and parents will find it helpful in staying more connected to their child.

The product launches July 2007. Early feedback from both the youth as well as youth pastors is overwhelming demand.

There is a hunger in the youth for a place online where they can interact in a "safe" social network and, at the same time, hear great music, see great art, read great writing, and share their thoughts with each other. There is a hunger for a place where they can connect with missions or serve needs but they want to do it directly... they want to know it counts.

The youth will be able to create their own personal page and customize for their unique personality. They will be able to instant message, post notes, send photos, videos, and music files to others in the network. They will talk, send, share, and live their lives... and learn and grow.

Youth pastors state staying connected with the youth is one of the most important things to do... and it's the hardest thing to do. fxlUniverse enables them to accomplish this in an effective and efficient way. A single text message... a simple reminder... a thought for inspiration or comfort or courage... coordination and connection. It's a very helpful tool.

fxlUniverse leverages the LightsTogether platform and is scheduled to launch July 2007 with a goal of over one million youth interacting in the social network by year end 2007.

The online space is driven by the youth. They are the technology early adopters and leaders into this space. As such, they will help seed the LightsTogether community and help to build it organically/virally as well. By serving the youth well, the church will follow. By serving all well, the light will come together.
